When I moved to Rockford, IL in 2000, I
searched out a massage spa to help with pains from a hockey injury
and other work related back issues. I picked the wrong spa based on
the name, size of the ad in the yellow pages, and from a person or
two mentioning the place (but not really knowing anything about
them). The massage at this big name place was all fluff, relaxing
during the massage and about 1 hour afterwards, but then the relief
faded and the pain returned.
A few years later I came across Serenity Massage & Aesthetics (a
buried treasure hidden away). I started seeing their massage
therapists here and there, finding relief immediately from over
stressed muscles and pain from working on a computer all day.
Serenity's LMT's started teaching me stretches that I could do
anywhere to keep muscles from getting knotted. They also used
different techniques to get into the muscles where it needed it
most, and worked on problem areas with just the right amount of
pressure that left me feeling awesome several days after the
massage. For anyone who wants a real, therapeutic, pain relieving,
stress relieving massage, I would recommend Serenity hands down. My
